Marc Larsen has an extensive background in landscape construction with over 20 years of landscape construction and maintenance experience. In 2007 he became certified to install interlocking concrete pavements through the interlocking concrete pavement institute (icpi.org). The education gained became invaluable to his hardscape installation company. In an effort to raise the level of installation in the industry he quickly realized that the information taught needed to be shared with other hardscape installation companies. Shortly after he became certified to teach the training courses and since then has assisted hundreds of contractors become certified.
Marc continues to gain knowledge and experience through the different areas of his career. Since his certification in 2007 he has since gone on to gain specialty designations. He now has designations as an advanced residential technician and commercial installer. He also teaches theses and other courses as an instructor. Most recently he worked for the national leading manufacturer of hardscape products, Belgard Hardscapes. During his time there he was able to learn the manufacturing side of the industry like few in his position. Gaining experience and knowledge and putting them into action in his business gives Marc a feeling of achievement and satisfaction.
Mountain West Paver Specialists was formed in an effort to take the paver industry into the future. We see a time where interlocking pavers are used to provide long lived, sustainable pavement solutions. We see spaces created that invite those to stay and enjoy shops, music, dining, etc. We can visualize parking lots and residential roadways where permeable pavers help mimic pre-development site hydrology. Pavements that reduce the need for regular replacement but rather last a lifetime.
